Armillary sphere made of antique brass on a wooden base, 29 cm high, 18.5 cm in diameter. A desktop-sized version of the astronomers' celestial sphere: the brass rings represent the celestial equator, the ecliptic, and the meridians, with the Earth at the center; the wooden base keeps it stable on the desk.
