Ben-Hur bronze-plated statue

Bronze-finished resin statue, hand-finished in every detail. "Chariot racing was the most popular sport and entertainment in ancient Rome, appealing to all social classes from slaves to emperors. Charioteers were mainly drawn from the ranks of slaves, and the competition was very fierce. They steered their horses and used all sorts of tricks to force their opponents off the track, or poured water on their opponents' smoking and overheated wheels at the turns. The drivers were skilled and risked their lives for high stakes—for the victory wreath and large sums of money. One of the most famous charioteers is certainly the protagonist of Lew Wallace's novel "Ben-Hur," who challenged his half-brother, Messala, to the famous chariot race to defend the honor of his Jewish family, which was also immortalized in the famous 1959 film directed by William Wyler.
