What the ship's bell was for

On deck, the bell measured time: it was struck every half hour, and the number of strokes indicated the progress of the watch. In fog, it served as a warning signal. Originally, therefore, this was not a decorative object, but one of the ship's most important pieces of equipment.

Remained functional

The bracket and rope are included, so it can be sounded immediately after installation. It also works as a real bell at a garden gate, on a terrace, or in a holiday home.
