Greek mythology vs. Roman mythology chess pieces pit the two pantheons against each other, without a board.
A chess set in which figures from Greek mythology face off against those from Rome. Solid resin, hand-painted. King: 8 cm tall, 2.6 cm in diameter. Without a board.
Two pantheons facing off
The Roman pantheon is largely built upon the Greek: Zeus and Jupiter, Ares and Mars, Aphrodite and Venus are the same figures under different names. In this set, this kinship becomes a game - both sides fulfill the same roles in the language of two different cultures.
Hand-painted
Every piece is hand-painted, therefore shades may vary from set to set.
