E14 - the smaller socket
It is worth checking this before purchasing: E14 is the thinner threaded socket used in bedside lamps, wall sconces, and chandelier arms. This shade does not fit the thicker E27.
Light of the paper shade
The paper diffuses the light rather than directing it - which is why it provides soft, warm illumination, as opposed to the sharper light cone of metal or plastic shades. Less suitable as a reading lamp, but perfect for ambient lighting.
