Bronze-coated resin statue, hand-finished in every detail. The "murmillo" was a type of gladiator during the Roman Empire. The murmillo gladiator was equipped with a sword, a rectangular shield called a "scutum," a leather belt with metal decorations, a special arm guard made of iron and leather, and a large helmet with a distinctive barred face mask. Murmillo gladiators were generally muscular and strong men, so they could carry this equipment and fight against other types of gladiators, such as Thraeces or hoplomachi.
