Bronze-plated Napoleon statue

Bronze-finished resin statue, hand-finished in every detail. Napoleon Bonaparte (1769 - 1821) was one of history's greatest military commanders and Emperor of the French. He expanded the French Empire by winning wars and conquered much of Europe. His Napoleonic Code influenced numerous civil law systems worldwide. He was ultimately buried in Les Invalides in Paris. In the painting Napoleon Crossing the Alps, the gesture showed the viewer the inevitability of victory and commanded his soldiers to follow. In the painting Napoleon in Coronation Robes, he wore the Grand Collar of the Legion of Honour and held the scepter topped with the imperial eagle. This depicted the glorious moment at the height of his power.
