Bronze-plated Roman soldier statue

Bronze-coated resin statue, hand-finished with attention to every detail. The centurion was the intermediate officer rank in the Roman army, defining the leader of a century, a unit of the Roman legion that comprised between approximately 60 and 100 men. This was the first rung of a military career, and indeed, young aristocrats (even without prior war experience) often began their ascent in the military world from here. The centurion was almost always in the front line during battle, serving as an example of courage for the rest of their legion, as they were more frequently exposed to the danger of death. Their characteristic uniform included the crest on their helmet and the gladius, which they held high so their loyal companions could follow them.
