Handcrafted, bronzed resin sculpture with every tiny detail meticulously worked out. Samurai formed the military nobility in the history of medieval Japan. Often referred to as "bushi warriors," these soldiers possessed extensive knowledge of ancient martial arts, which they combined with the masterful use of the katana. Samurai warriors often entered battle with two katanas—one in each hand—and wore special combat masks, as exemplified by this warrior, whose mask evokes the ancient 17th-century kabuki theatre.
